ADAC won the National Covid Innovation award held at the virtual awards ceremony back in October and the trophy arrived shortly afterwards. ADAC is truly delighted with this recognition for all of the hard put in during those dificult months in lockdown and coaches Joe and Norman were on hand to show off the trophy at the Everholm track last month.

This has been a great success for our wee club and , in such a hard hitting year the club has flourished with new and exciting ideas for competition throughout the year.

Many thanks to all of the club members who got involved either with the planning , organising or competing throughout our 6 virtual series consisting of some 20 races throughout the period.

Looking forward already to 2021 !

02 October 2020ADAC shortlisted for Covid Innovation award

We are delighted to announce that ADAC has been shortlisted for an award at the annual awards evening held by Scottish Athletics.  This year the event will be held online. The 4J Studios Innovation Award is designed to recognise, celebrate and acknowledge some of the extra efforts by clubs or individuals during lockdown to keep the sport growing.

The club held 6 different series of  virtual running weekends which had at least three races over a 20 week period from the start of April until mid August.

We are delighted to be shortlisted in a top 3 out of 94 nominations and are looking forward to tuning in to the awards ceremony online on Saturday 10th October.

Details of how to tune will be published on our fb group during the week. We also plan to hold a zoom meeting whilst the awards evening takes place.

This is fabulous news !

13 September 2020JOHNNY , ALAN , WENDY and JAMES complete ANNANDALE WAY

On Saturday  12th September , the quartet of Johnny Minto , Alan Creighton , Wendy Gass and James Taylor completed the Annandale way ! The distance of some 44 miles was covered in ONE day starting near Moffat and ending at Newbie on the coast near Annan.

This was an epic adventure and one which all of our smiling quartet should be very proud of. Along the way they were supported by friends and club members who fed , cheered on , ran or cycled along with the group.

Many ,many congratulations to all of the team who again showed that team work makes the dream work.
