If you have never been to an Open graded meeting before it really is a great opportunity for you to get a PB.Over the summer months track and field event evenings are held throughout Scotland and they can be a great way to have a go at an event in a race which you will be competitive in. The whole point of an open graded event is to provide exciting races in which each competitor is put into a "graded" race. Depending on the numbers for example involved there could be 2 or 3 races over 800m for instance and in each one the runners will be closely matched.
