Race 4
Lockerbie 10km 12th June
Conditions were near perfect on Tuesday for the 15th lockerbie 10km. The undulating course was tackled by 17 runners and it was good to see the return of some athletes back from illness and absences. It was also good to see some guests join us for the event.

Moffat Gala
The good summer running weather continued at Moffat for the 33rd Gala race.
The stern test of 3 races (almost flat 3m, mountain 1m and downhill 4m) in one proved to be a breeze for ADAC runners. Congratulations to everyone who took part. Results are below.

Race 6
Castle Douglas to Gelston (and back) race.
5 miles
Conditions : Dry , sunny ,20c, light winds.
The summer weather continued to make running a pleasure at the annual Castle Douglas race. This race goes back many years and follows roughly the same course heading out of the town towards the village of Gelston and back via the tricky , undulating unclassified road past the Garden centre arriving back from the southern part of the loch.
It was great to see our newest member Esme Green in action along with our regulars who enjoyed the trip. Results are as follows.

Race No. 7
Smiling prize winners Gordon , Liz and Graham took 1st Vets in their age categories.
The Dalbeattie 10km took place on Tuesday 7th August with 8 athletes from ADAC in attendance on a good night for running. This very testing but very scenic course is not one for fast times but certainly one to "enjoy". The hill at mile 3 proved to be a tricky test with many runners finding the going tough at this point but for every uphill there is a downhill and all of our athletes returned home safe and sound.
First home for ADAC was Graham McLellan on home ground and he was very pleased to come home in a time of 38:50 and our first lady home was the young Liz Dawson in 52:53. Results are beow. Well done everyone.

RACE No. 8 ANNAN TEN MILER
SATURDAY 11th AUGUST
Temp 19c Light winds, sunny.
The long range weather forecast for Saturday was for torrential rain but thankfully this held off for the runners who competed in the Annan 10 mile race. The conditions were quite humid and the water stop at the half way stage was a welcome sight (thanks Linda). First home was Joe Boardman in 1:12:47 who was pushed all the way by Gordon Vivers who is having a great season. The first lady home was Marie Marshall who had not done the event before and was a little worried that she might not go the right way. This was not the case and she crossed the line in 1:22:41. Many thanks to Heather Allam for timekeeping and for the catering team who provided excellent treats for everyone.
Well done to all competitors. Results are below.
