ADAC's very own Nicole Proudfoot competed at the Schools International Track and Field event at Santry Stadium in Dublin this weekend. Nicole who was the recipient of a Gold Award from the "Welcome to Langholm" Future Champions Awards represented Scotland on Saturday in the girls under 17 long jump and finished a very creditable 6th place setting a new PB of 5.56m along the way.  Nicole was chosen for the team after winning the Scottish Schools Pentathlon and Long Jump events and the Scottish Pentathlon Championships with some consistent jumping.  She competed alongside her training partner Megan Busby from Carlisle who is also coached by John Birkett and who represented England in the same competition.  John  wore a combined top to keep them both happy. Congratulations Nicole and John on a great job !
