SENIOR PRESENTATION EVENING
The 2019 Summer presentation evening was held again at the Ice rink in Lockerbie on Saturday 16th November. Some 30 members and partners were in attendance and they were treated to a lovely buffet meal.
Over the Summer 17 new members have joined the club and it was great to see so many new faces. Our medals and trophies were presented and pictures below show who won each of the categories. Well done everyone ! GO ADAC !

Summer league Presentation evening.
Annan and District held their Summer league presentation in November and it was another very successful evening. Our two league managers Ruth Griffith and Kevin Plummer read out their reports and the trophies were handed out by ADAC legend Jim Buchanan. Our pictures show our prize winners being presented by Jim. Many thanks go to our two managers who organised the evening.
Winter League 2016/7
Annan and District Athletic club held their winter seasons award night on Friday at Cressfield hotel on Friday the 31stMarch. A very enjoyable evening was had by everyone and many thanks go to Cressfield hotel for a lovely meal and the use of their function room.
Alan Cameron who kindly organised and run the winter league and his lovely wife Linda thanked everyone for coming and thanked all the competitors over the winter who turned up to run and support the winter league. Alan also went on to thank everyone who helped him organise races and supported him over the winter season. Special mention was given to Linda Cameron for all her help and support, to Andy Render who helped with the results and the website, to Jim Buchanan for his advice and help, and to Nigel Priestley, Caroline Legg, Roger Irving and Barry Fitzgerald for their help and support.
Thanks also went to Graham and Susan McLellan, Kevin and Louise Plummer and to Martin and Paula Coopland who hosted races over the winter league and to the many landowners who allowed races over their property. Thanks also went to Yvonne Kerr for writing the report for the newspaper and web page and to everyone who took photos provided food for after races and who helped with marshalling and time keeping.
After thanks had been given Alan and Linda went on to present the awards won over the winter season.
Winner of the winter League was Graham McLellan with 186 points.
Second place went to Joe Boardman with 163 points
Third place was Ewan Fairgrieve with 157 points
Ladies League
First lady was Janet Priestley with 181 points. Janet was presented with the Helen Vivers memorial trophy by Gordon vivers
Second lady went to Rosie Allen with 167 points
Third Lady was Linda Cameron with 122.8 points
Awards were given out for the Town Run series. This was a series of runs which took place mid-week over the winter in the main towns in Annandale and Eskdale. It was run as a series of runs in which runners were awarded their prizes after being selected by a committee for showing the most commitment, enthusiasm, determination, improvement and overall performance.
First lady went to Linda Cameron and first man went to Gordon vivers.
Awards were then given for the winter festival. This is a competition over the course of one weekend consisting of 3 races over the three days of Friday evening and Saturday and Sunday.

After the awards were handed out Richard Smith thanked Alan and Linda Cameron on behalf of the club for all their hard work over the season and for an enjoyable evening.
Finally, congratulations were then given to Barry Fitzgerald on becoming the New club president.
Summer 2016
The Senior ADAC awards night for the 2016 season was held at Cressfield Hotel where runners and their family enjoyed a lovely meal and an enjoyable evening was had by all. Following the meal, Hill Running Manager Kevin Plummer said a few words of thanks to the runners and everyone who has helped over the summer, he then presented the awards for the Summer Hill Championships. Winner of the Hill Running Cchampionship was a new ADAC member Adam Adamson, followed by Martin Coopland in second place and Mark Whitelaw in third place. Winner of the Ladies Hill Running Championship was Rosie Allan. Rosie is also a new ADAC runner, who only took up running just over a year ago. Rosie Allan has won not just ADAC events but many of the female Vet 40 classes in races across the region. Second lady in the hill championship was Jean Robson followed by Linda Cameron in third place. Other awards in the hill racing calendar was the Stag to Hind hill race where Darren Foley was first male and Emma Kerr was first female.
After the hill racing championship awards presentations moved on to the summer Road Running Championship. Andy Render who was the summer Road Running Manager for 2016 presented the awards for this championship after first saying a few words of thanks to all who had help over the season with marshalling, time keeping , photography, hosting the races and providing after race refreshments. The overall winner of the Road Championship was Rory Longmore, runner up was Graham McLellan and in third place was Joe Boardman. In the Ladies Championship Emma Kerr was first lady closely followed by Janet Priestley and in third place was Linda Cameron. In the Age Grade Championship, where runners are give a percentage score based on their times compared to their age, Rory Longmore was the winner with an average age grade of over 80%, Janet Priestley was second followed by Joe Boardman in third place.
Linda Cameron won the Quaich trophy for the most improved athlete after having a great season completing all but one hill race and coming third in the female hill championships and road championships. Linda is also new to running and is going from strength to strength having partaken in most of the events in both the road and hills with great joy and enthusiasm . The evening was finished with thanks going to Cressfield Hotel for a lovely meal and thanks to all runners and their families for attending the evening and supporting ADAC over the summer and past year. Thanks also went to Andy Render for running the winter league in 2015/16 and the road racing in 2016. Andy was presented with a gift of appreciation from the ADAC runners and a welcome and thanks went to Ruth Griffith who is taking over the role of Road Running Manger for 2017.
WINTER LEAGUE 2015/6
On Saturday evening ADAC Seniors held the Winter League 2015/16 Presentation night at the Somerton Hotel in Lockerbie. The pictures show Road Running Manager Andy Render presenting the trophies to the mens' and ladies' winners Rory Longmore and Janet Priestley.
Finishing second for the men was Mark Whitelaw and Michael Kerr took third place. For the ladies Liz Dawson finished second and Emma Kerr was third.
Joe Boardman and Nigel Priestley also received awards for all the work they do in the running of the club.
